At the beginning of Chapter four Paul continues with his praise for a church that he is very attached to. “My joy and my crown” - he calls them. Paul regularly includes encouragement to the churches in his letters. We continue to get the sense that Paul had a unique friendship with this community. In 4:10-20 - we see how they chose to partner in his ministry at a level that no other church did.
