The Bible records this about Jesus in:
(John 1 v14) “And the word was made flesh and dwelt among us.”
Likewise, Community Ministries are visible outworking of the church’s call to charitable works outlined in scripture.
Children’s Play Group
Meets Monday and Tuesday 9.30 – 11.30. Formatted as an unstructured pre-school play environment, mothers and children can interact socially while utilising the equipment and resources provided.
Mainly Music
Each Thursday 10 am ($3/child or $4 a family), this program provides pre-school teaching with a musical theme. Introduced to Ranui in 2005, there has been rapid growth in numbers attending – 40 in December!
Op Shop
Affordable clothing is sold from the Ranui Community Op Shop situated by the Ranui shops along Swanson Road. Donated stock is sourced from a community bin placed outside the shop. The shop is staffed by volunteers and its proceeds provide Ranui Baptist Community Care with income that is distributed back to the local community by way of grants.
Food Bank
Donated food is distributed to families and individuals in Ranui and close suburbs. Contact is through the Church office and recipients are encouraged to seek budgeting advice after the second parcel. Food is sourced from several valued suppliers in the community as well as through weekly donations from church members. Donations of money are used to top-up nutritional and quality content of parcels.
